This scene was at a western reenactment at the Ward Ranch. It is an annual event between Guthrie and Edmond Oklahoma. It is a western cowboy and Indian affair. Not many native Americans attend the event but the few that do really bring out their heritage in a very documented and historically correct way.

"NORTH CLEAR CREEK FALLS"

North Clear Creek Falls is located somewhere between Lake City and Creed Colorado. It is just a little Northeast of South Fork, Colorado. You cannot see this scene until you walk right up to it. There is a big hole in the ground, and these falls flow to the bottom of it. I could hear the sound of the falls from several feet away but could not see them. It is no tourist site with people all around. There was a small sign on the highway pointing to where they were and your on your own to find them. I followed the sound and what a surprise just walking upon this amazing scene.

"AW'S BASKETS"

AW is the initials of ANDREW WYETH, who i consider to be Americas greatest painter if not the best artist. I never got to meet Andrew Wyeth, but back in 1981 i did talk to him on the phone. In 1983 I did get to visit Chadds Ford, Pa. and Cushing Ma. the two places Wyeth spent most of his time and did all of his work near and about those places. These baskets were in Wyeth's garage. George the caretaker, let me take all the photos I wanted.
He also let my family use a restroom in what turned out to be Wyeth's studio, in the old mill house on the Brandywine river. I have a real good bathroom story for anyone that is interested.
While in the studio I did see a Helga picture, one of those that NOBODY was supposed to know about, according to all news accounts. That story about 15 years of secrecy is bunk. I saw at least one of them and you can bet that his wife knew all about them. I did not have my camera with me, I had asked my wife to hold it while I went to the restroom. STUPID!!!!!!

I decided when I did my grandson Easton picture for his birthday that I was ng to do an abstract like this for all my family including my brothers, sister and parents. Gail my youngest brothers birthday was Jan. 5 and had already past so this one is very belated but i hope he enjoys and understands.

In this painting you will find his full name, the date he was born, the state in which he was born. his military affiliation, one of his favorite jobs, the name of his wife Sandie, their anniversary date. the names and dates of his two children, Justin and Lynsi, and his grandson's name and birth date Jonas. I hope you enjoy looking for some of the information. By the way Red is his favorite color.

This scene is near Sedona, Arizona. It is a high end shopping center, it is often referred to as a mission but it is not. It is full of artsy and fine arts crafts shops.
Would love to go back and take Nina with me, she would really enjoy it. Maybe I will!!!!!

"GILL'S BAIT SHOP

This scene is near Nettleton, Mississippi, between Aberdeen and Tupelo Mississippi.
It is the place where locals bought groceries and travelers to the Dam nearby would stop for their fishing supplies. Not there any longer.

"LUKE AND DUKE"

These are the horses that cleaned and leveled the floor at the Lazy-E arena between Guthrie and Edmond. Oklahoma.
I love to paint teams of work horses and mules. And when I see a set I usually stop and learn their names and take some photographs of them.
