Home of the 5 cent hamburger. This White Castle use to be located on the corner of Calumet Avenue and State Street in Hammond, Indiana. Lunch for me and a lot of my friends consisted of a dozen hamburger and a coke for 75 cents. The hamburgers tasted a little like Krystal's hamburgers but I remember them being much better.
